VINCI Airports announces a new direct route between Lyon-Saint Exupéry (France) and Sal airports (Cabo Verde)
Starting next winter, and for the 1st time, it will be possible to travel to the island of Sal in Cape Verde from Lyon airport thanks to a new route operated by Transavia. This new route, connecting two airports operated by VINCI Airports, demonstrates the strength of our network in the service of passengers and territories.
Next winter will see the launch of direct flights between Lyon-Saint Exupéry and Sal airports in Cape Verde, offered by Transavia. Cape Verde, located off the coast of West Africa, has 7 airports managed by VINCI Airports since July 2023. The airport on the island of Sal, also known as Amilcar Cabral airport, was built in the late 1930s and boasts the largest runway in Cape Verde.
Direct flights to Sal will start on December 15, and will operate on Sundays, one flight a week, until March 23, 2025.
