Setting a new standard at Budapest airport: NextGen Security in action
The VINCI Airports security flow approach has recently been embodied by a state-of-the-art equipment combining innovation, operational excellence, and the sustainable transformation of airport infrastructure. At Budapest airport , our operations teams are deploying a new generation of security lanes in a fully redesigned space, delivering tangible improvements, such as:
A smoother passenger journey: reduced waiting times and dedicated preparation areas to improve flow and comfort.
Improved efficiency and capacity: advanced technologies optimize tray processing, facilitating higher throughput and accelerating passenger procedures with processing times reduced to under one minute.
Improved working conditions for security agents: increased automation, reduced manual handling, better-designed workspaces, and advanced training programs – already delivering very positive feedback.
This security flagship project led by VINCI Airports at Budapest airport is the outcome of a teamwork done with colleagues from Edinburgh and London Gatwick to design new standards and implement the new area, thus demonstrating the strength of our global model thanks to the help and advisory provided by employees of both the British airports.
From Budapest to our entire network across Europe, Japan, and Latin America, our ambition is to deliver concrete, scalable solutions that continuously enhance the passenger experience.
This new security facility also paves the way to ensure a great welcoming of the 2026 UEFA Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest.llations de sûreté entrent aussi dans le cadre de l’accueil de la finale de la Ligue des champions de l'UEFA 2026 qui se tiendra le 30 mai prochain à Budapest.
