Jakarta-Phnom Penh: a new direct flight between Indonesia and Cambodia

Citilink, a subsidiary of Indonesia’s carrier Garuda, operates three direct flights a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday – between the airports of Jakarta and Phnom Penh since the 21st of June.

Citilink operates this new link between the two airports using a 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft. The service will allow to encourage air traffic growth between the two countries by offering direct flights, contributing to reduce travel time, and by increasing travel options for visitors to/from Indonesia and Cambodia.

Phnom Penh airport has been preparing to accommodate the expected growth by continuing to invest in the expansion of its facilities and by further improving its operational process while reinforcing the quality of service to customers.

With this new regular route, Phnom Penh airport’s direct connectivity to neighboring countries in Southeast Asia will thus be improved (the 3 Cambodian airports of VINCI Airports’ network have expanded their connectivity to 9 out of the 10 ASEAN countries), opening a wide set of new opportunities.
